Custom built out columns!! #shorts

What happens here

With pilot holes drilled, two pieces of composite decking are joined to form an L-shaped column corner. The worker uses a DeWalt impact driver to drive screws through the pre-drilled holes in one board into the edge of another board. This process is repeated along the entire length of the joint, with screws spaced evenly to create a strong and rigid corner assembly. The worker may flip the assembly to drive screws from both sides or simply to ensure full coverage and stability.

Goal: Securely join two pieces of decking to form an L-shaped column corner

Tools and materials

  • Composite Decking Material — The two pieces being joined to form the corner
  • Impact Driver DeWalt — Driving screws quickly and efficiently into the composite decking
  • Screws — Fastening the two decking pieces together. Use exterior-grade decking screws
