(14,531 characters)I think maybe as you try to get it in, pull this end down a little bit and push up here. Like push up right here and then try to get it and we'll work it from your side down. See if that works. Right where it's trying to get in. No, no, no, right right at the end of the board. What's going on everybody? Welcome back to the channel. Today, we're going to be installing some of this Modern Mill ceiling. We've got some lights, fans going in. It's going to be pretty sick, so make sure you stay tuned. All right. Let's go. Got our first couple pieces up. It's going pretty good. Always uh you know, a little bit of a of a learning curve. We're going to get a couple more of these pieces up and I'll tell you a little bit about what this material is. This is Modern Mill ACRE and uh pretty excited about it, so we'll walk you through what makes that product a little bit different and uh why we're using it here, so Nick's excited. Oh, yeah. He's fired up. It looks nice going in. Yeah. Yeah, it looks beautiful. And the reason we did the furring strips here is so we can install this product in all full length. So, it's going to be nice and easy. Um not a whole lot of uh seams and butts and all that kind of stuff. So, I think it's going to look pretty dang cool. And uh so far, so good. It's going up nice and uh it's just going to be a nice clean look. It's going to be good. It's finally coming together. It's finally coming together here and I'm excited and I can't wait to get the ceiling up. >> So, what we're using here for this ceiling is Modern Mill's ACRE product. And it's unique because you can see it's got this nice wood grain to it, but it's actually made out of upcycled, I think it's the word, upcycled rice hulls and PVC. So, you can kind of see in the edge there PVC kind of look, but it's got this really, really nice finish on it. Um so, it looks like wood and much more of like a natural kind of look than your typical PVC product would be. So, um pretty excited about this. The thing I like so far about it, we've got the shiplap, it's a 1 by 8. It's got this really big nailing flange and they want you to install it with uh 8D nails. So, um we're using sheathing nails on this and it's going to have a lot more holding power than your typical ceiling that would be installed with like 16 or 15 gauge nails. Um so, it's really nice so far. Uh we've got plenty of space to nail in there and it's going to have a lot more holding power. The next piece goes right over top. Covers up that nail. So, so far, so good. Um pretty excited about it. And we've got a couple tricks that we've already adapted to work with it that uh we'll show you. So, we've got our first first lights going in. Uh this is what we what we mapped out when we ran all of our furring strips, our spacing here. So, uh the lights start 30 in off the wall and then the space in between them is 70 and 5/16. And they are 45 and 3/4 off of the edge uh front and back wall. So, Oh, this was a race Nick would be winning. >> [laughter] >> Oh, Oh, Beautiful. So, Jose, what you might have to do here is maybe cut through that whole furring strip. See if it'll fit in there. I think it's like an inch thick. Yeah, maybe. Okay. Beautiful. All right, this is going to be nice. We should probably hook this up to a uh transformer temporarily just to make sure everything works before we before we move on. >> goes down over there. How you making out there, Jose? I'm good. Okay. All right, we're going to get them tested, so uh make sure we don't have any issues before we continue to sealing. There you go. All right. And they're flashing cuz they're not on a program, right? Yep. So, uh they flash, that means they're in pairing mode because uh what we'll do is set these all up with the uh with the app, and they're all like Bluetooth controlled, so pretty fancy stuff. Way above my paygrade. Uh but it's pretty cool. We uh we use these at my house uh in the in the front yard, and it's really cool. So, they're all color changing and uh hook up to the app, and it's really easy to control, so uh all right. We can turn it off. We'll keep going, and uh ah next thing that we're going to have couple more boards we're going to have we're going to have the fan to install, so wish us luck there. That's I'm not good at following instructions, so we'll see how that goes. >> [music] >> All right, so we're trying to figure out this fan. We've got fins, we've got brackets. We got all kinds of stuff. I think I think I read the instructions enough. I think so. We'll see. We got one more piece to go up. Steve, why are you staring at me like that? I don't know. Watch. >> [laughter] >> What are you doing? I was listening to you talk about the fans. You got distracted. You got distracted pretty quick. Give me a screw. >> [laughter] >> This thing's going to go on the ceiling. We got one more board to put up, and then this is the mounting bracket, and we're supposed to attach all the blades >> [laughter] >> and then lift it into place. So, we'll see. I'm not the best at reading instructions. I'm really not. Probably the worst one. But, uh I read them, and we'll see how it goes. All right. Well, one more piece to get up, and then uh we're good to go. >> Straight there. Yeah, you can just drill straight there. Okay. Even if it goes through the beam, it'll be okay? Well, underneath that would be like a joist or something, if anything. But, no, you're fine. Okay. Thank you, bud. Yeah. Yeah, so it's just this 2x, and then there's another 2x under it. Okay. So, I'll be okay right there. Yeah, right right there. Sorry we forgot to pull the wire up. We can't make it that easy for you. No. Hey. >> [clears throat] >> Aidan's geared up, ready to go under. Yeah. That was our bad. When we put that uh we framed that out, forgot forgot to pull that wire up. All right, they're getting that figured out, and we got our mounting bracket up for the fan. We're going to deal with that later, make sure it works. But, uh for now, we'll just keep rocking and rolling on the ceiling. >> All right. Today? Probably. Shoot. Yeah. There's got to be a rainbow out here. No. What's the point of the rain if it doesn't even lead to a rainbow, you know what I mean? Ridiculous. Pond's up and running. Okay, so here is where the tree was. Yeah. There's going to be a lot of I don't know how good of a job I've been doing with getting rid of that. Uh Like nature got half of them out. Yeah. I think like right here. So you're sure nothing's over here? No >> Positive. Positive. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. I mean, as sure as I can be. Okay. But the other thing to think about is that it is a crepe myrtle, it's going to shed a lot of biological material, and then it being that close to the pond is going to go right in there. I realize it's not that much closer than right here. This also made a lot of biological material probably into that pond, but that will be even more. All right, you know what we need to do? We need to figure out a schedule. Coco, what do we We need to We need to plan out the next the next week and a half. No, my head's sort of wrapped. I need you to wrap your head around it. Okay. We need to come up with a game plan to finish this bad boy out. So, I don't know if you want to do like a day-by-day schedule to get this thing moving. What do you think? Why don't we start with a task list, and then we'll assign days to each task. That's a good idea. >> we're going to be down next tomorrow afternoon, possibly Friday, depending on his tooth pulledness. >> how he feels. I've never had a tooth pulled, and I don't know how much sounds like it would be horrible. I did when I had my braces on. They I they had to pull two teeth out right here. Oh, it was horrible. And they ripped it out and the Novocaine wasn't working and then you know that little >> Yeah. We didn't have like a whole lot of money so college kids worked on my teeth. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. Anyway, all right. So, you'll get a we'll get we'll get a task list and we'll cuz I think by the end of next week we could basically be done. That's the goal. That's the goal, baby. That's the goal. All right, that's it. >> [laughter] Well, I was just handing it to you guys when you started it up. All right, just put it up there. I'll mark I'll mark where the hole is. Doing holes? Punish me? Hey, bad boy. Making me a bad Holes Foreman doing a good boy. >> [music] >> Steve, I bet you love that movie. Holes? Of course, yeah. I never seen it. >> Looking good. Oh, yeah. It's going to get cold today. It's not usually like starts off at 70 and then by the afternoon gets down [music] to 30. That's a silly. God was like, "I'm messing with y'all right now." Weather manipulation probably could be a thing. We got our lights going in and what we decided to do after we got the first one in, we ensured that set up worked and everything. We got that one running. So, what I decided we would do is get our second light in on this side and then make sure that we're directly in a line to drill the rest of the holes, find our center point and everything. So, we've got four lights here. Four lights are going to be here and then we got the two fans. What else I want to do today is as soon as we're done with the lights, jump on the soffits. I got the brake. We can bend the aluminum after we get the soffit on. And yeah, Mix got to get his tooth pulled later. So, me and Jose will be rocking with the soffit. GIVE ME YOUR MONEY. >> [laughter] >> I DID ACCOMPLISH THIS MOSTLY AND I KNEW THAT you could do it. Putting it in before the patio was done. Taking it from [music] the truck. Sometimes >> Dragging it from over there to over here by myself. Installing it mostly by myself. You just held the bucket. And sometimes that's what a leader needs to do. I knew that you could do it. I needed you to know that you could do it. And I didn't want to help, so. I know. >> Mission accomplished on all fronts. All right, I'm going back over here. >> [music] >> HEY! IT WORKS. ALL RIGHT. >> [music] >> Should I turn it on the fan? Whoa, oh, it's What [laughter] happened? It's cold. All right, well, it works. That's freaking awesome. Low voltage ceiling fan. Um Honestly, I think that's a game changer. We actually got a question the other day, why would anyone want a ceiling fan outside? So, Sean, take this opportunity. Why would you want a ceiling fan outside? Someone asked that? >> Yeah. That's No offense, that's a crazy thing to ask. There's a couple reasons, actually. Number one, uh when it's hot out, >> [laughter] >> the fan will blow air at you, making you cooler. Uh second reason, and this is a big one, that moving air is going to help keep bugs away. So, when you're sitting out here, especially like over top of the table, keep that air moving and little bugs aren't going to want to stick around as much. So, uh fans outside, when you have a roof cover, mandatory. Got to have it. So, um something this big, we want two. You got to. We're getting up there. Yesterday was horrible, dude. I don't know if that's better. It's a little bit better. Yesterday was crazy. >> Oh, I'm cold as hell. Dude, we got like we got like a full inch of snow at my house. Is crazy. No, like one one inch. One full inch. Yeah, it was crazy. Can we see the tooth? No, cuz it's gone. Oh, yeah, I see it's gone. I just it's dark in there, right? So, it's not a dry socket. Yep. But, I was like, oh, I forgot to ask for the tooth when they were doing it. >> More stuff. Yeah, it's crazy. I thought that was a little hairy I had coming out the side there. >> [laughter] >> Permit? Yes, sir. Beautiful. >> These copies and the copies are stamped, too. Okay. Awesome. Yeah. Next project getting ready. >> Honestly, it's a dream come true to be able to do a project with him. And uh I'll give it to I'll hand it over to him so he can explain what we're doing. Thank you, babe. Thanks for coming out. We're uh we're here on this pretty cool project. So, I knew we needed some help to get us back on schedule and uh that's why Manny and the boys are here and they're going to help us out. What's up? We got uh we got Manny here from Easy Hardscaping Oh. >> and the whole crew. We're bringing in some help. Uh I kind of hinted at this before, but one of the things we're going to try to do this year is is bring in a couple hand-selected subs that can work alongside us to speed up our production. So, uh they do pavers all the time. Really, really nice, detailed work and that's what uh made me confident we could bring them in and they can execute uh the rest of this hardscape install and it's going to be beautiful. So, I'm pumped. I'm pumped about it. >> This is all wrapped [music] up. Looks good. And we made sure while we had to fix that up, we got it all [music] plugged. It's all good to go. The last thing that uh we will have is a piece of trim top of this is going to go column to column, but we got to finish columns first, so. Yeah, what we're going to do here is um we got a tiny bit more framing on this one. We're just going to need a piece at [music] the top to go across there. You know what I mean? Like flush with with the front. We'll need a piece at the bottom. We don't really need anything in the middle cuz we just need we'll do that top trim detail, you know what I mean? Yeah, just top and bottom. Same thing. Like right here. Right there. All that. [music] >> Oh, what are you working on there? Well, actually this is super top secret. You can't know about it. Not until next week cuz this is going to be in the next video, but we got some really really unique crazy maybe silly ideas that are going to be going in to finish this project off, so wait till next week. It's going to be freaking awesome and yeah, hit that subscribe button. Till next time, this has been Premier Outdoor Living. >> What happened? That was like perfect timing. It It made that noise and you did that. >> Cool. All right, good. All right, I thought that was cool. I was doing a bit. Cuz a lot of times Steve likes to keep that in there, you know what I mean? Oh. A little banter afterwards. >> Uh-huh. You know what I'm saying? Uh-huh. LOL. Patrick, you're dripping sweat. Relax. You mean stressed?
