hey folks that fix it guy and welcome to fun tool friday all right today we've got a fun tool this is an old-school pipe wrench i did a little rehab on it probably at the beginning of my channel and i gave this to my buddy captain jack all right captain jack hook this thing right up this is probably the coolest little pipe bridge you've ever seen now so come along let's get to fixing we're gonna grind on this a little bit today and i guess not really grind i'm gonna use a wire wheel on it just try to clean it up this is a uh full giant offset pipe wrench um pretty cool i just like the look of it they say one of my friends hooked me up with i said hey i you know and he's like i'm not using it you want to do something with it i was telling about you know me collecting tools at garage sales and you know just little things that i could try to fix up from time to time and so we're going to go ahead and just disassemble that and you know i bought a wire wheel for my drill and i've got a little dremel and so that's kind of what we're gonna go with and just see what we can do okay so we got one piece all cleaned up here i don't think it's looking too bad with just using a wire wheel and the dremel tool um i dig it actually there's one little spot i'm gonna have to figure out how to get that cleaned out right there but other than that this thing looks pretty good he's told me just to get all the rust off and make it look pretty and then put it in a zip lock and give it to them so we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna work on this little piece now get this all hooked up all right so we got this piece all hooked up and now we'll clean it off a little bit and then we're gonna throw it in the bag as well coming along definitely some good pitting right there um i don't think it's a big deal though personally uh he said i kind of like it just gives it a little texture it's got its own style to it looks like something was spilled in there or maybe some pitting inside the jaws it doesn't look like it though it looks like it's i guess it is pitting i don't know it looks like it could be some old solder or something okay so so i think this ended up turning out pretty good it's all cleaned off this is just the this is the beginning um like i said i'll just wipe this down with some alcohol and then i'll take it over and get it painted just going to go right around here we're going to clean all these parts off the rubbing alcohol and we'll just let it dry okay so now that they're all dry we're just going to take these and put them in a ziploc bag and we're gonna try to keep as much air out of it as we possibly can so we will just have that like right there almost oh done done up and then we will just take a straw okay so we kind of just made our own little vacuum pack bag and now we're going to take it over and we'll get it painted alright so this is the way i got this bad boy all right and we're just going to leave it right like that and i'm going to show you what this looks like it is awesome dude this company has a really awesome back story this they're at a greenfield massachusetts it's a company called little giant and this is an eight-inch wrench of theirs we can see it looks a lot cooler now than it did man a little rusty old trap and got it all hooked up you can see captain jack took flame to it and it turned out to be one of the coolest wrenches like that is like my favorite little thing i i'm gonna have him do more stuff now because it really just it turned out cool man he's really into like true flame like the way flames like go and flicker and i really like that little flicker i think it's pretty cool it's just really nice i like it's such a small little wrench to kind of put so much detail in but he did a great job and you know that's why i want to show you this is what it ended up coming out like man and it is awesome i mean it is just super cool it still works it's still able to be used all right so check that bad boy out it's nice that he didn't actually cover up the teeth they're still very functional made it to wear everything and he still painted this black but it still works i could totally use it if i wanted to i feel like it's more of a shadow box type piece or something but it really is awesome i love it i think it's super cool he did a great job like i said before this is a little giant eight which means it's an eight inch pipe wrench and it's actually made by a company greenfield tool and die in greenfield massachusetts these guys make quality tools back in the day made in the usa right patent back in 1913 this was a wrench of its time man when this came out it was apparently a game changer according to the literature i will be doing a complete tool review at some point just on this style of wrench and this company because i found some awesome old school literature that i think you guys would love so that's about what i have for you i just really wanted to show the process of doing this and then of course captain jack's awesome paint job okay folks so there is the restoration of this bad boy right cleaned it up a little bit hi captain jack put some paint on her and it is good to rock and roll dude now it's definitely the coolest tool i own i really hope you guys enjoy the video if you can please subscribe to the channel click the like button we would greatly appreciate it we
