CLEARING MORE LAND! FOLLOWING THE FARM DREAM!

What happens here

The farmer drives the Kubota UTV through lush green pastures, proudly showcasing the results of intensive mowing and proper pasture management over the past three years. He explains that these areas were once barren or overgrown. He then points out new fencing posts for a perimeter fence and explains that the farm is working with the NRCS (Natural Resource Conservation Service) to implement water conservation and grazing management strategies, including the addition of more cross fences to divide fields for rotational grazing, which helps keep mud and manure out of the creeks.

Goal: Showcase established pastures and outline future fencing and grazing plans

Tools and materials

  • Fence Posts — Constructing perimeter and cross-fencing
  • Kubota Side-by-Side UTV — Touring the pastures
  • Wire Ties — Securing fencing to posts
  • Electric Poultry Netting Premier1 — Temporary fencing for garden area
