What happens here

With the brakes functional, continue driving the truck forward, testing various gears (first, second, third, etc.). Listen for any unusual sounds from the engine or transmission, and assess the overall driving performance of the truck. The truck successfully drives off the neighbor's property, albeit with a noticeable bounce and an exhaust leak.
