Caulking your tape Q&A. Why paint cracks over the caulking?

What happens here

Once the FrogTape is securely in place, use your touch-up brush to apply paint over the cracked caulk and along the tape's edge. This method allows you to apply paint confidently, knowing that the tape will protect the adjacent surface. Ensure adequate coverage to fill the cracks. After applying the paint, carefully and immediately pull the painter's tape away at a 45-degree angle before the paint dries completely. This technique results in a perfectly straight, clean line, effectively concealing the cracks and restoring the finish.

Goal: Paint over the cracked caulk, using the painter's tape as a guide for a crisp line. Once the paint is applied, immediately remove the tape to reveal a perfectly straight and repaired edge.

good right here so now i can fill that gap in right there and if your cracks are really big you may get a few other spots that's a split one more time just a tiny bit more and you just go back and hit them one more time and fill those in very simple and easy to do just takes a steady hand cutting in once again i can show you how i typically just do it by hand but i can come back and just re-mask because my paint is dry my caulking is dry i could re-mask here now i can just re-go over my frog tape you can see how fast it happens i'm gonna brush up and then i have a perfectly straight line again still
