we're live are you alive well she said there's a little delay there's not a delay oh okay you are live so okay yeah um what do we have to talk about today Lisa well we have a lot of I would say irons in the fire so we have a lot going on right now at paint life Supply Co and with the Idaho painter you have a lot of projects you're working on we have some giveaways um next week you're going to so you know it took me years to learn um the stuff I've learned I mean I'm still learning every single day so we'll just take you know the coffee course it's almost done it's going to be available this month and you know it took me years and years and years to learn all the tips tricks the techniques um the tools to use wet sealants to use wear and what took me years to learn I've created these courses so you or your employees can learn in a matter of days so you know having these courses available to your employees you know you can hire new guys sit them down watch these courses and he literally can be a productive member of your crew and somebody that actually makes you money in a matter of days instead of years because a lot of times you know we would hire college kids and they kind of just like turn over you know every couple years and you know if you're waiting for them to make You'll Be an Effective member of your crew in years in like two years and all sudden you lose them then you got to start all over again but now we can teach these kids uh how to do it and kids and I'm not just talking with kids these are adults yes anybody if they do the trade anybody that's and you could um easily find it so I've got my cabinet course I've got my masking course and now the um Caulking and ceiling course is coming out and I've already started working on the next course and that one's gonna be absolutely amazing talk about the title of that one um no so we're just focusing on the three that we have right now and the caulking courses coming out somebody asked is there a fee and there is a fee it's 99 it's a small fee but it's um you've done a lot of work and you're paying a lot of different platforms and editors to create this so that you can get up to par and start making money a lot quicker and the cost of labor at least in Boise Idaho is really expensive so if you have a new employee coming on to spend 99 and actually have them come out day one and actually be productive in helping your team is really affordable so so in the course you can actually you know have an employee just sit down on the weekend watch the course and then you're not actually on the job having to teach them which is taking time away from you uh being a productive member you know of the team and making money so they can watch it on the week a weekend learn all this what what we encourage for our audience life is about change and just because you know 20 years ago if you said I got all my business from yellow paid advertisements and you just stuck with that and then you realize your business is dying you have to be willing to change and so we're making a few changes on our store we want to sell all the tools that Chris uses those are always going to be available but also Chris has put together some kits and so what are the kits like you just created a masking kit I create a masking kit I created a caulking kit a cut in um starter kit I've created an area sprayer kit I've created a epoxy floor kit it's a fence staining kit so these kits are um all the tools necessary to get whatever you're doing done fast and efficiently like I'm a cut in starter kit it's going to be a two gallon bucket it's going to be a cotton and brush it's going to be a two edge knife it's a tools that you need to effectively learn how to cut in or cut in like a professional painter the caulking kit comes with the two gallon bucket a caulking sponge a ETS 2000 caulking gun um they can go to the store and see everything in it but Chris is basically taking the guesswork out I mean even me you walk into a big DIY store and you have thousands of options and what should I buy what don't I need to buy and so Chris has put together these kits to assist you so that so um Aqua code I've been using aquacote for years and so it's the best grain filler I've ever used it's a water-based product that I use anytime I'm dealing with Oak and so if I've got oak cabinets oh an oak vanity a piece of furniture I'm gonna um typically skim one or two coats of grain filler over there over the top of it to fill all the little pin holes I don't like to fill um the grain 100 so it doesn't look like it was um a piece of oat before you can do that with aqua code typically like four or five coats um but uh I absolutely love the product easy to put on easy to sand um and I'm doing a um a piece of furniture I'm doing multiple pieces of furniture that I'm restoring for a client and I'm going to be using aqua code too so if you want to try some aqua coats and you the chat link is in the chat so this is a really odd hour that we're doing this and at some point because there are so many what I would say irons in the fire irons with what you're doing you're doing you're in the middle of an exterior repaint right now you're starting to um transition to some interior work you're going to be getting the spray booth out and you have a new um product that you're going to start using it's a door what is it a door um they're Mr speed's door Deckers so they stack doors so you can test that out now spray your door spray your doors flat um like on a sawhorse and then the door and then you flip them they have handles so I'm actually I've got six doors I've got a sprag I've been using this speeds store Deckers spraying those doors I'm going to show you how they work they're actually really cool there's a lot of different ones out there so we're excited to try a new one but you also have another stand-up door thing you're going to be a pencil paint line came out with um a new system described or standing up so Mr speeds you spray them down paint line has a system that you spin the door you can spray it um and actually spin it with your feet so it stands up and that's actually a really cool system I'm going to be showing that I'm filming that next week so stay tuned for that and they have a transport you're going to be getting that soon also so the transport now like uh transporting cabinet doors has always been an absolute pain in the neck I don't know if I've ever transported them and not had an issue before and so uh paint line came out with a new uh device uh I'll call a tool that you're you put it in this transport system it Stacks your doors um you know and it's hard to explain but I'll show you in the video and it goes on a cart Goes On Wheels you can roll it right into your van or vehicle roll it right out roll it into the house and it's this simple and easy way to transport your cabinet doors without damaging them absolutely amazing tools so after you finish the aqua coats so um let's see Angel's with us he said have you seen the painting robot what do you think about it so um I've seen a bunch of painting robots I was just at um the national um you know awf AWS Woodworking Show and there was multiple robots in there and I've seen them like videos of them too and the one thing is I don't know like AI is pretty effective in learning and stuff but there's always just that human element you know um the one that I saw the robot it was a massive amount of overspray and you know your brain I mean you um knowing the wind conditions um the humidity and there's so much information that the human brain can process and actually see you can see the coating going on you can see what's happening process information should I go forward should I go back is the wind and it should I change tips and I want tips I can use and there's a lot of that going on you know um in the human element I I find it hard um to see like um you know a robot being able to process I think I think we have to I think what I went back to is change and it's like there used to be operators and rotary phones and now we all have cell phones like when you got the first a cell phone I was like I don't need a camera I just need a phone and I fought it and the thing is is with technology jobs change a little bit like you said you always need someone that has to set up a system you need to put the paint in and safety safety is a big deal and so I don't see every company just being able to afford these robots and doing it but it's like if you have a high skyscraper people die every year like bridges yeah and so I think there there probably are places that a safety but you always need a painter on hand to run it and maybe get more training because that might be something like like you're gonna have to get some I.T training so that you could run the things set it up adjust things I mean you need a person to do all that so I think you know it's we shouldn't be afraid of advances we should be aware and then find out you know how do I keep relevant in this age of ever changing and it's like Chris said you're not going to send a robot into painting one bedroom or removing wallpaper like you need painters you need to have skilled people to do this but the safety issue I think is pretty cool I think the bridges the skyscrapers you know so that you're not risking your life I mean I know there was a technology that you know the people that paint are on glass on Windows and stuff like that store fronts you know they um they were working on it was actually a friend was um who was an engineer working on printers to actually do that and 20 years ago 20 years ago it was stupid and it still hasn't happened I mean there's still there's um there's no substitute for you know the human brain but once again I think you touched on it you know um you know you have to be willing to change and you know I think I would be looking into being the person to run the robot and that's going to be the person making a lot of money yeah and so um you know you can transition into that and I think that that person is going to have to be a journeyman a professional painter that understands painting that's going to run this robot so that person is going to make a lot of money and drones like um Asher who works for us he's a drone pilot and it's like drones are the ones that are holding the things and flying them so you know take some drone classes get right maybe there's any questions Asher could ask answer of how to get certified to fly a drone but I think you know you just in life you need to keep your education up and I think for us that's been our whole journey you know for over 25 years we've you know continuously learn make mistakes transition change you can't be afraid of change do we have any other questions so I do have um Norma Reina said Oak coats nice I want it so since you know there's not Apollo fought Precision five you're going to be using that to paint the furniture is there any specials on that right now so the Apollo Precision 5 Pro Le is the HVLP HV sprayer I use I'm going to be doing um I'm working on um flipping some furniture and doing some furniture for a client so I've got um quite a few pieces of furniture I'm doing and I if I use an HVLP sprayer I I'll I use both I use airless and HVLP but hands down best hblp I've ever used is the Apollo Pro alley with their atomizer 7700 gun you aren't gonna find a better it's the Maserati HW sprayers did you say they're doing a special still are they they are so um it comes with an atomizer 7700 gun and core pot um on for you know um the gun itself it also comes with a two-car remote pot but the 7700 atomizer gun in court pot you actually get a second atomizer gun in a second quart pot when you buy the Apollo Pro Le and that's um they got limited quantities but if you purchase it that's I believe like a 500 or 600 value so getting a second gun is really nice when you're using multiple Coatings if you're spraying like Breakaway glaze and clear coat you don't have to switch and clean or if you're going from you know a color code to um top coated with a clear coat you can have both guns set up and ready to go and it's a quick switch on your quick release to switch what you want to do better so you can't miss Seattle much different Market any advice for finding customers in the rural area so bombers fire is a way away from us but what we like some some little advice that we can give are a few things is Realtors property managers you know and go to the paint stores give them your business card tell them you're new to the area you know if you're on social media you need to be posting before and after pictures and when you meet people you tell them you're a painter so you just really have to network you have to be not fearful of somebody not caring that you're a new painter you got to put yourself out there so that's my I think one of the things you're going to find in rural areas everybody goes to the local hardware store the local grocery store and probably like the local donut shop or Bakery and typically all those places have bulletin boards where people are posting that they um do yard work that they um you know do tree…
