um camera's right there no you need to kind of clean it up a little bit no we can do that yes we can so we're live um where am i at you're looking at the camera like always so it's good but we used to do that camera and now we always do this where's the feed um the feed's right there so nobody's with us no i guess it's just you me it's a friday night yeah date time yeah it could you never know i mean but does anybody have anything better to do with a friday night than spin it watching us well somebody's gonna be really excited because well six people are on so so we're so tonight we're giving away another sprayer we gave away on paint life numbers a few nights ago a titan 410 sprayer and we're giving away another titan force 10 sprayer right here can i clarify yeah so the first 410 we gave it to our paint life member of the year oh yeah so paint like yeah and i guess do they even know what paint life members is yeah so um so p live members is a facebook group we started uh quite a while ago on facebook imagine that so it's a private group that we started because we wanted a group a safe place for people to come ask questions professional painters along as do-it-yourselfers share the projects get respectful answers and just be a safe place because i had a really bad experience with getting on a group before you know and chatting and some people just attacked me and the moderators allowed it and i didn't have a group before that and i was like wow this was um a really bad experience and and people were being very disrespectful to me and and so i was like you know we gotta like start a group that is um one that where people respect each other and um where they don't um dogfight with each other and stuff and so paint life members was born yeah and it's a community of painters that help each other and diyers painters helping painters helping painters and we have four awesome moderators so we want to shout out to them because it really is a job and they really have a passion to help and encourage and to keep it a safe place because um we realized the group isn't about us we're just members like everybody else but it's um everybody's sharing and so shout out to ellen okay we do have some um so today i want to do um i looked at your paint brand after last night centurion and not a single store in oklahoma stocks it which shocked me in um being in dallas so um this an absolute the best paint i've ever used for cabinets and furniture i've been painting a lot of repainting a lot of furniture absolutely amazing so if you have any questions i can't read those that's painting out of college and stuff and so uh he started manufacturing his own stains for i'm staining fences and now that evolved into manufacturing all kinds of coatings um in including uh chemical based cabinet coatings and um water-based cabinet coatings and so centurion coatings is made in texas available widely in texas it's starting to grow rapidly you know across the u.s so it is a little bit difficult to find in some areas so if you're having a problem finding the products go to centurionwoodcoatings.com and um they have a list of um their distributors and there's three of them i know that uh ship online and a shipping process is pretty easy there's one in pennsylvania one in missouri and one in spokane for them to just go to their website okay um but yeah yeah and i can still say can i yeah okay so um and so you know those three ship online and um so you can find who those people are uh one of them's miller paint and um i don't know the other here you have to look at them five man there is a video they have a good website so i so somebody says i evil approach needs a sprayer um i've watched many videos of yours hey thank you very much daniels um see when are you going to do some workshops jim what are we gonna do workshops lisa you want to talk about that yeah but real fast i just want to say we are giving away a 410 and it's a raffle ticket they we sold 40 raffle tickets 100 of the proceeds are going to their tornado victims and one of the 40 people will win a 410 tonight so that's coming um let's see alan is actually on i use pro classic instead of emerald so um if you're using either one of those for uh cabinet coatings i would highly recommend you um try out a um polya 2k poly which i did a survey on my instagram it was amazing how many people didn't even know what paulie meant and i put three different terms on there uh one of them was polyurethane which is what it is it's a polyurethane i put polyurea and that's is in reference to a floor epoxies and coatings and then i put another term that was in reference to i think it was something medical and um it was interesting how many people didn't know but a 2k poly um centurion 2k poly is a water-based polyurethane that can be i'll use 1k or 2k if you're not familiar with what 1k and 2k are i got videos on that but used out of the can straight um is 1k it's not doing anything with it just using it out again using it 2k adding a hardener or a catalyst makes the product uh extremely better and so um if you're not using those type of products if you're using emerald or pro classic it's an absolute game changer to try a product like this so you got to give it a try so i have the feed i could read questions for you that you could listen to um but you have something down here that we just got in the mail right now that we're gonna send yeah i'll show that so um michael schlemmer is actually on he's from uh boise and he asks um i was wondering if you have to worry about freezing you know when it comes to having the product shift and that's an interesting question whoa so um we have she knows that there's a live show and so she's come to harass us yes so um you do have to worry about your ball you do have to worry about freezing um and i know come on this is what you call live um so a customer just recently received some paint um that was shipped online and it was frozen so um it does have to be packaged and it doesn't have to be packaged so it doesn't freeze and um you know one of the a miller rep was just at our store yesterday and we were talking about that and what was interesting is uh what i was told to keep it from freezing they actually just put hand warmers in the box and that's interesting so hand warmers in the box will help keep the paint from freezing but it does have to be packaged so it doesn't freeze because if it does freeze um that's a bad thing i know paint can go through several freeze thaw cycles but not super hard freeze freeze thaws but i personally would never want to use any paint that's ever been frozen even once so if it froze i wouldn't want it i would want it to be you know returned and re-shipped um so was looking on the site um pls site for paint life supply site for centurion what about tenting it so what about tempting what about sensing it so so we like uh we actually uh paint light supply actually sells centurion coatings is paid by supply as a distributor of the product but paint life's like doesn't tend to if you need it not yet we're in the process of getting a tenter so um it's going to be tented um in the near future but if you need it tented um go to center uh centauriwoodcoatings.com and there's a list of distributors and i know there's three of them that do a pretty amazing job shipping nationwide and um those three do tend and they'll tend to any color any fabric that you want so so did you talk about this that just came in the mail so um it's not the same with us this just came in the mail so passing through our home it just got sent to us because we just gave it away on paint lights they um yeah we didn't give it away well we gave it away but um unita gave it to us um the five inch round orville sander he said he was had a job coming up where he had to do a lot of restoration and sanding and so um he won the sanders so we just received in the mail brian if you're it's a little dusty you should probably give it away um it looks brand new it is brand new it was one of the very first ones we got sent it was a sample that i had to okay i got to shut this up because we don't want this ring in the whole time anymore so you can give away a beanie we got a few brushes i'm going to read some questions i'm going to read some questions matt mourinho um his question hired a professional to paint a raw wood built-in cabinet everything finished now things sticking and paint is peeling watching your videos have me thinking it's time to start fresh so yeah apparently um not the proper prep and not the proper top coat you know was used so when you're using a product um and this is when it comes to um using the proper coatings for cabinet coatings especially the cabinets because especially for painting the inside of it like an entertainment center things are stacked on it and one of the things you're going to run into if you use a codeine i'm going to compare two together like benjamin moore advanced which is a great coating for brushing and rolling but it has a 30-day cure time and it's a very long stack type where you can put things on it that aren't going to stick to it you really shouldn't be stacking anything on it for 30 days because it takes 30 days of cure centurion coatings are 2k poly it has an 8 hour cure time so literally after eight hours you can begin stacking things on it and i'm transporting it safely and stuff because it dries in about an hour cures about eight hours absolutely amazing you can literally sand it with a power sander within an hour and recode it absolutely amazing so i have i want to read and then i want to give this away what are you going to give away yeah so scott scott shaw said i missed just came out with a new one i've been testing the malibu i absolutely love it i've been brushing and rolling trim which i rarely rarely ever do and i typically always spray but there's every now and then you got to do what you got to do i've been brushing trim with benjamin moore advanced with this brush and i got to tell you the results are amazing if you have to brush trim benjamin moore advance is a pretty dang good product and this brush is a great brush to brush it with um i can hear maya and she's like wanting all the tension um so there it is uh the premiere brush right there the malibu so it's awesome they make the best brushes out there in my opinion all handmade in new york um so we want to support made in usa handmade so there you have it so jonathan carter says what size tip is best to use when spraying a metal garage door i used a 5 15 today and i put way too much paint on it until it started running on me too big of a tip for that applicator or user error um so i'm not sure whether we're talking the big roll of door that the cars drive through or the door that um the man door that people walk in it's metal um so it's metal so i would probably think that what you drive um probably what we drive that we always use a 515 um now paint is um paint is always you know a critical part of the equation along with tip and so and then how old is the tip so a 5 15 tip um is actually a 517 tip after about 20 gallons so if you're using a new 515 tip and you're using a good product that dries in low temperatures because right now the temperatures are pretty low you know everywhere and um if you're using the product like i'll tell you right now duration from sure williams which i absolutely love in the summertime but in cool temperatures anything literally from 55 degrees and below it's absolutely dangerous to be spraying because it runs really easy no matter what tip you're going to use so the there is um you know some experience you know that goes along with this but a 515 tip is what we would use for the man door and the roll-up door and um but then like benjamin moore aura is a great product to spray with a 5 515 tip and so you know the weather at the tip of the weather they're using pressure make sure your pressure is not too high um the pressure should be around 2200 psi um for most products out there and if you don't know your pressure you can buy a pressure gauge you'll put it if you don't have a pressure gauge get an hca gauge and put a uh 88 gauge on all my my sprayers um titan 410s 440s we always have a gauge on there so we know exactly what we're running to have the pumps so william garcia says hello chris i'm in the market for a new large electric pump i'm thinking of the titan impact 1140 or the graco 1095 which would you recommend you know i have a titan 1140 absolutely love it and um i think uh it's a great pump so i mean i think titan makes hands down the best small pumps um in the 410 and 440 are great small pumps i think uh graco makes an excellent large pump i've had a lot of success with graco's 6.95 love it um and i've had a titan 11 40 for i don't know 10 um very the very first one i ever got was when i did cody crones the wrangler stars um house i painted his house in oregon or washington and that was the first time i've ever used 1140 absolutely amazing still thing brand it runs great never had an issue with it the only thing i ever had um was a um i had not i was um i forget what it's called that um a little part that went out on it but there was the only thing that went bad on it so i hadn't had to repack it uh or anything so i i would highly recommend because i've i haven't had as much experience with the tight the 10.95 um but i probably go with 11 40 if i have my choice so some of it's really i mean do you like blue or red so i'm just gonna say the 40 people hopefully you're on one of you is going to get a 410 in a little bit okay but we have lance's wall art i haven't seen him for a while wow back on youtube live huh love it so yeah i hope you're doing well and um we talked about it a little bit on paint life members the other night and you know we hadn't been on youtube for quite a while live and we started thinking about it and you know it's a big part of what we used to do and we felt like you know um we wanted to start doing live shows again on youtube because we wanted to be able to just support paint life members and people paint life um people that just had needed help and needed live help and um just to help support the community and we decided we're gonna start doing a couple live shows you know every month and um so um here it is live on a friday night of all things um and us along with all the people on here live i guess we have nothing better to do on a friday night but it keeps us from partying i guess so um let's see uh i quit my job to start painting company what kind of advice can you give me to get my first job and keep moving forward so to get your first job um our our first jobs when i started our pinning company came from friends and family so hit up your friends and families who needs painting and then your house probably needs some painting but you don't get paid to do that so um i think when i when i started my painting company the thing that um worked best and i say this all the time uh was door hangers door hangers and um in like albertsons your grocery stores um a lot of community places poll tags they used to do poll tags and a lot and those were very effective craigslist was very effective for um just getting jobs not making a whole lot of money craigslist is kind of you know that craigslist exists anymore but um but door hangers are very effective so lisa's reading i am reading uh lucas says you're looking cut man so i'm i'm he's probably talking about you um because you you just got back from crossfit so i think you're looking cut i'm not looking cut my cheeks are looking pretty chisel no they're they're red because i well i'm alive still it was hard so did you work your butt off thumbtack so someone said bump i it was hard i used i when thumbtack first came out i used thumbtack um angie's list was very angie's list was very successful for me but angie's list like a lot of these things just turn into these things where you pay to play and if you don't pay they aren't gonna put you you know up on the list and stuff and i think they begin to become kind of a scam and um i'm just not a fan you know of organizations like that and they they all start calling you saying you know um do you want to advertise do you want to advertise and you know and it's the people that put you on there not you that put you on there and if you don't pay to advertise they just bury you and you'll never be seen
