Prepare Concrete Mixture and Trench
At 0:00 in
But concrete! Thats going to crack! .
What happens here
Before initiating the concrete application, ensure that the trench dug along the outer edge of the pavers is clean and prepared. The depth and width of the trench should be sufficient to accommodate the concrete haunch, typically extending below the base of the pavers. Prepare a workable concrete or mortar mixture by combining Portland cement, construction sand, and water. The ideal consistency is firm enough to hold its shape against the pavers but wet enough to be easily spread and shaped with a trowel. The video begins with the mixture already prepared and placed conveniently next to the paver edge, ready for application.
Goal: Ensure the concrete mix is ready and the work area is prepared for the edge restraint application.
