Building A Fireplace Feature Wall In A Screen Porch

What happens here

The presenter introduces the project, a special feature building an accent wall fireplace for an outdoor space. He shows the wall with a mounted TV bracket and an opening for a fireplace insert. He explains that the finished wall will be about 3 inches out from the existing sheathing, and they want the TV mount to be flush with the wall. The wall will feature vertical, spaced slats of 2x4 and 2x6 material, stained black, creating texture. The area around the fireplace opening needs non-combustible material (Hardie board), which they plan to paint with high-heat paint. The surrounding stone veneer will butt up against this central feature.

Goal: Understand the project scope and design.
