What happens here

This project details the construction of a small garden fence with a gate in a side yard, intended to create a separate play area for a new puppy. The process involves installing post spikes, attaching wooden posts and framing, and finally incorporating pre-built hog wire panels to complete the fence.

Welcome to an episode of Mr. Bullet's One-Day Build. This is our backyard, and this is our little side yard. With a brand new puppy, we want to build a gate that will fence us off the dog to play on that side of the backyard, so we limit the areas that we have to pick up dog poop. One of the first things we need to do is add some posts. I don't want to be messing with concrete, so I'm going to use these post spikes to set our 4x4 posts. With our spike posts all in place, it's time to bring in the 4x4 to make our posts. Next, we're going to add a 2x4 top and bottom. By the way, be sure to be using exterior screws. With our framing all done, we're going to be using this hog track from Lowe's. Uh they sell them in a kit, so you have both the the vertical and the horizontal pieces. Now, they're aluminum tracks, so I'm going to cut them with my circular saw uh to the right dimensions.
