Assemble the staircase by securing the pre-cut treads to the stringers. The video recommends using at least three stringers for a 3-foot wide staircase to prevent the treads from deflecting, cracking, or breaking over time. For wider staircases, consider adding a fourth stringer for increased stability. Use a level during assembly to ensure each tread is perfectly horizontal. The example in the video uses two boards for each tread to create a bullnose effect.
