BUILD a bar, or BUY one?!? #build #diy #construction

What happens here

The outside surfaces of the framed structure are covered with horizontal composite decking boards, providing both aesthetics and weather resistance. These boards are screwed into the lumber frame using exterior-grade screws. Visible underneath the boards are black flashing tape strips, identified as 'ZIP System Flashing Tape', which are applied to the wooden studs to provide additional weather protection and seal against moisture intrusion for the internal structure.

Goal: Clad the bar's exterior for aesthetics and weather protection.

Tools and materials

  • Circular Saw — Cutting composite panels to length
  • Cordless Drill DeWalt — Driving exterior screws to attach the panels
  • Composite Decking Boards/Panels — Cladding the exterior of the bar structure
  • Exterior Screws — Securing the composite panels to the frame
  • ZIP System Flashing Tape ZIP System — Weatherproofing the wooden frame members
