Bought old Home Depot rental truck for the farm..junk or awesome? You decide!

he's a good old girl hey there folks this is Josh Stoney Ridge farmer welcome back to another awesome day here on the Stoney Ridge Farm we're out here by The Sawmill and the cows are just right there and we're getting ready to move the cows and I wanted to show you guys by popular demand everybody's asking about the Warlock dump truck so this is the Warlock and today we're going to take you around the Warlock and we're going to show you what we have here it's a pretty cool old Home Depot rental truck I bought it for pretty cheap we replaced a rear end and it is a beast [Music] afraid alive times like this if you mess with my freedom I'll tell you this what you can kiss welcome to the Stoney Ridge Farm if this is your first time here we're on 150 acre first generation Farm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina tree line is not my business that's who this truck came from this truck had a bad rear end in it I had a good friend of mine who got a smoking deal on it he probably made a little bit of money on me Spencer you know you did and I bought it as a slab truck so these are slabs right off of the Wood Mizer Sawmill right here this is a Wood Mizer lt-40 all kinds of awesome slabs we use the slabs on the farm we burned these in the pastures for the cows to consume the charcoal and it's a natural dewormer therefore we don't have to worm our cattle now this is a 2002 GMC three-quarter ton old Home Depot truck and when I pop the hood you're gonna see it's an old Home Depot truck it's army green I'm not sure if it was meant to be flat green or not probably had been washed in about five years but it's tough dude it's tough as nails so you got the awesome eight Lug Wheels right here they were painted at some point we'll probably repaint those it looked pretty tough it's a tough looking truck again it's a three-quarter ton we're about at the limit of what this thing can haul now we're going to walk around the outside first and then we'll go in the inside these bed rails fold down flat this bed rail folds down flat this folds down flat and this is an all aluminum dump bed so really really cool setup cab corners are great on it really no rust to speak of it's a really nice truck if we open up in here the fella that I bought it from put nice seats out of a junkyard in there so it's got some really nice 1500 Chevrolet Silverado seats a little bit of pillage right here that's okay it's a work truck it's a farm truck right if you open up here everything looks good it's got the rubber mats in the floor again it's an old Home Depot truck can't go wrong with roll up windows I don't even know if they make roll-up Windows anymore for pickup trucks but I tell you what my next truck is going to be a simple truck no more I've got a Ford Raptor up there no more bells and whistles man I don't need it I don't need the problem and the hassle and these newer trucks are not built this tough as this old girl right here so let's open her up check out the inside real quick and we'll start her up okay steering wheel uh just down to the wire it's in pretty rough shape I'm not sure if the airbag is still hooked up in this Critter or not we'll go ahead and Slide the key in hopefully a battery hasn't died this is the 6.0 liter engine there we go daddy likey got a pretty good little radio in it no tape deck no CD player Bare Bones really simple air conditioner does not work that's going to be a fix later on got the passenger airbag switched it turns that off and I'm not so sure what true north smells like but it kind of smells like true old truck so let's pop the hood let's give her a little Rev yeah nice so when I bought the truck and you'll see this right here this is the button that you push to raise and lower the dump bed so hit that you can see the dump bed going up dumb bed going down now we're not going to dump that load because I don't have time today to go take it off and dump it plus we can fit a lot more wood on here got the typical Chevrolet falling down headliner and the fix for a falling down headliner in uh Chevy this this felt material or whatever it is is simply push pins thumbtacks that's what I use so I just push pinned oh there's one that's pushed out I just pushed those in and that holds it in place and keeps it off my head you can see it looks a little Frankenstein maybe we should call this truck Frankenstein instead of the Warlock I don't know you guys tell me if you got a better name I'm game for it let's pop the hood it has no ticks no rattles no winds no noise whatsoever it has I believe a 700R4 or a 4 L 85e Transmission you guys let me know now you see the remnants of the Home Depot the 6.0 Vortec engine man this thing has a 198 000 miles on it and it will go 398 000 miles as long as I take care of it keep fresh oil in it and just keep using it like a like a responsible adult right I don't know about all that so uh like I said our air conditioned you can see somebody's popped the lid off of that right there so they've tried to repair the air conditioning at some point Serpentine belt's good we got a battery box right there brand new battery in it let's just close her up every Farm needs a dump truck every Farm needs a beater just like this this is the ultimate Farm rig now I've got a Toyota pickup we call it the red Yoda red Yoda is getting ready to be built out into a farm purpose-built machine in other words I'm going to put a pressure washer on it a water tank a welder a generator the hole works on that truck in a very soon future video so guys be sure you subscribe to the channel but that is the Warlock that's the Warlock dump truck just wanted to do a little quick intro video show you guys what it is I have two problems that I need to address the tailgate doesn't like to shut appropriately you can see when you dump you cannot have the tailgate all the way down or it will hit the receiver the hitch down here clean is a whistle underneath there guys it's just really really a nice truck let it purr like a kitten for a little bit every Farm needs a truck like this so if I need a haul some hay bales across the farm I can throw those big round bale is probably two maybe three of them on the back of this truck and it's got I think you call it a headache rack right here to prevent you from busting out the
