Using a putty knife or scraper, carefully remove any excess dried red wood filler or caulk from the wooden door trim and the adjacent painted wall. Hold the scraper at a shallow angle to prevent gouging or damaging the surfaces. Work systematically along all sections of the trim, including the vertical sides and the horizontal top and bottom pieces, and wipe the scraper clean as needed to maintain efficiency and cleanliness.
