Secure the Chalk Line

What happens here

After placing your chalk line where you want to mark, instead of just hooking it and pulling, place a small nail or screw over the line at one end. Lightly tap the nail with a hammer, just enough to secure the line against the wood without piercing or damaging the string itself. This acts as an anchor, preventing the line from pulling out or snapping when tension is applied.

Goal: Anchor the chalk line securely without damaging it.
