Finalizing and Compacting the Paver Surface

What happens here
After all pavers are laid, the final step involves sweeping polymeric sand into the joints between the pavers. The video doesn't explicitly show this, but it's an essential part of paver installation for stability and weed prevention. The sand is spread over the surface and swept into all cracks and crevices. A plate compactor is then used over the entire paved area to vibrate the sand deep into the joints and ensure the pavers are fully seated and level. Finally, the surface is lightly misted with water, which activates the polymers in the sand, causing it to harden and lock the pavers in place. The finished product reveals a beautifully constructed paver patio with clear accent borders, ready for outdoor living.
Goal: Secure pavers, fill joints, and create a durable, finished surface.
