All right, you guys. I want to say I'm sorry because I made a video and the dozer in the video I made was about an American-built John Deere dozer, but it was actually a Case 850N. It was their brand new flagship dozer. And I mistakenly called it a John Deere one time and I couldn't get that out of my mind. Hi, kitty. And so from the rest for the rest of the video, I just kept saying the same word over again. So, I apologize to you guys. If you've already seen this video, if you haven't seen this video, it's going to be absolutely eye-opening. And what we're going to be looking at is their is the pride of Case, their brand new 850N dozer versus the ching-chong Chinese LiuGong dozer. So, let's get this one rolling. Kitty, what do you want? Hugs? Yes, okay. I get it. I get it, kittish. Who is a good kittish? Who is a good kittish? Who is a good good kittish? Well, let's get it let's keep it going. Ow. Ow, my cookie. My cookie. All right, guys. We're looking at the Case dozer and this is what they are saying is their newest innovation this year at Con Expo is in their dozer category. And the first thing that they pointed out to me was where their exhaust stack was and the visibi- the increase in visibility. They mounted the exhaust stack to be behind one of the pillars so that as an operator's in the center of the cab, he's got better direct line of sight down to his blade. They also took the air pre-cleaner and moved it so it's not even up here. Most everything that we're going to see that's new and innovative on the Case line is inside of it. So, let's go inside and start looking at it right here. All right, guys. I'm going to jump in here because as I sit in this cab, I want you to do something different and look down at the edges of the blade. I love running bulldozers, one of my favorite things, and I owned a Case 850 bulldozer, as well as I rented tons of them and ran bulldozers left and right. And one of the most important things you can do as an operator is see both edges of your blade simultaneously. And as you sit in the cab and you watch me run through these buttons, try to see the two corners of your blade because that's where you can tell how well you're cutting, feeling, how well you're rolling the dirt and getting the material you're trying to move into the right place. So, just do that for me. So, the first thing we want to know is that it's got a three-speed on it. Um so, you got low, medium, and what they call aggressive. And they've also mounted the controls on the pillars here. And then, as you can see here, the exhaust blends in well with the center stack right there. Uh they have a very unique transmission setting. So, they've got a touchscreen transmission setting. And if we watch as we hit the controller, as we hit the controller, it will jump to preconceived settings. So, let's go as I'm hitting the button, we'll just watch it dive in. So, this is the speed. So, an operator can program what speed he wants this machine to go and just click a button and it will go. And when you want to program it, you just simply hit this button. And let's say we want to program this We've got 10 customizable programs with different custom ranges. So, if we go to here, we can set it however we want. And when we want to set it ourselves, it's just simply a matter of let's pick Let's pick this one. We can actually touchscreen. We can actually touchscreen where we want it to go. So, if we want to limit this that we want third gear the third click of the the to be at 3 mph, boom, we're there. The fourth one, 4.5. So, we've got all of these presets that we can put into place. They can also do the same thing with your reverse panel, as well. So, your reverse speed here. Another thing that they have is a ripper sensor. So, if you look right here, this lets the operator know that his ripper attachment is down. Yellow means caution, green means go. So, when you see a green sign here, that means the ripper attachment is in up or safe position. And you may say that's a silly thing to even think about, but a lot of times when you're it's a long, dusty, hard, dry day, it's easy to forget whether your ripper's up or down, and sometimes the visibility isn't the best. They've also eliminated 7 in uh from the back of this machine, and they've tucked it in 7 more in, giving the operator a better line of sight down to his ripper attachment from the cab. Those are the major changes, the major innovations that Case has brought to this line of their dozers. Let's just walk around and just take a peek at it. Couple other things, you notice that the other line has a more rounded panels, they've actually squared these up. So, that's just a design feature, but here's where they eliminated 7 in, so they tucked this in 7 in to give the operator better line of sight. I have a special fondness for Case dozers in my heart, because my one of my favorite dozers was a Case 1150G, which I sold, but I thought they were great machines, but let's keep this show rolling. All right, guys, next up is the LiuGong, and I actually don't know if it's made in Qingdao, China, but it is not made in America. But, I'm going to walk you through all of these designs, and the guy's accent isn't the easiest to understand, but at least we're going to pull this information out of his head. Carlos, this is a LiuGong bulldozer. What can you tell me about it? >> Okay, cool. This is This is a very nice design because uh the the view inside the cab from the operator's seat, you can see everything, even the corners of of the blade. And uh another important thing is that uh for the maintenance, you can tilt back the the cab. And if you open together with a hood, you have full access to the main components of of the machine. >> So, the cab will tilt like the cab on a skid loader. >> Yes. >> Okay. I The thing that stopped me about the machine in the first place, Carlos, was I looked at the windshield and I'm like, holy crap, there is nothing obstructing the view of the operator >> Yeah, that's right. >> But, I have not been up inside of it yet to check it out. But, LiuGong, that name's been around for how long? Cuz it's not very familiar to a lot of people stateside. >> Yeah, LiuGong is a brand with 69 years old. I mean, it's made It's from China. >> Yeah. >> And uh but uh LiuGong bought Dressta uh 12 years ago. So, this is a Dressta uh design from Poland. And uh but now >> Poland? So, this thing is I absolutely got to be awesome then. >> Yeah, it's it's European design. And also got a uh award in in England 2 years ago, uh the Red Red Dot award uh because of the design. >> For this design of this dozer. Okay. Okay, so this is not a point to gloss over. Yes, this is called a LiuGong dozer and the majority of LiuGong equipment is made in China, except for this dozer. This dozer is actually made in the Stalowa Wola plant in Poland. And yeah, even though I'm Polish, I know I'm butchering that. This is Dressta dozers. So, this is a like a hybrid kind of a thing. LiuGong is the parent company, which is a Chinese company, but this is a European-built bulldozer out of Poland. Back to the video. Now, this this dozer is out now, so right? It's available because obviously this was a Desta before and Desta no longer exists. >> No, no because LiuGong bought the brand and now all the all the bulldozers, different models, are assembled fully in China. >> What is the warranty like on a dozer like this? >> It's like a 3 years, 5,000 hours. >> No way. Is that just on drive components and the engine or is that >> The main components. I mean the the drive train, everything is is included. >> What's the price point on this dozer? >> I don't know. I don't know to be honest, but should be 450, about that. >> Okay, let's go up inside and take a look at it. So, before we hop inside, let's look at the outside nose. So, the first thing that I notice is this nose comes down at a very aggressive slant, so I'm going to guess that that gives the operator the absolute best possible visibility, so he's not like in my Peterbilt dump truck, I'm always trying to peek over the hood of my truck. >> Yes. >> So, with this thing you're not doing that. >> No, you if you're there as an operator, you can you can see even these corners. I mean the left and right corners. And and because of the inlet and exhaust are located to the close to the columns, the visibility is full. >> Yeah, look at So, this is the exhaust. This is the pre-cleaner right there and the exhaust is over in the Come on over here. You talk too soft anyway. Come on, talk a little louder for us, Carlos. So, we've got the exhaust stack coming off here. Pre-cleaners on the other side. >> Yes, that's right. And and another important thing is that over here in this section of the machine, you have the the the pressure points to to review how is the machine working. I mean, there are inside pressure points for maintenance. >> Pressure points. What do you mean by that? >> Uh because on the bulldozers, you have to to check as part of the maintenance what is the pressure in the the oil pressure, hydraulic pressure in different components. So, you have full access from here. >> How do you get at it? >> And and >> How do you get at it? How do you get at those points? >> Gauges. Gauges connected here. >> Yeah, but how do you get at the where to connect the gauge? >> Open Open it. >> Oh, so you you you open this >> Yes. >> this up and then this will open? >> Yes. Yeah. You open here and you will have access for the to the to those check points. And as a standard, we have the the auto lube system. >> Auto lube system is standard? >> Yes. Another important thing is that on this design, the engine is in the front and the cooling system is in the rear of the machine. So, we have a kind of triangle design, very good for slopes and good and the center of gravity is low. >> I was going to say, if you've got the engine in front, the cooler and cooling in the back, you've got the perfect tipping point. So, the machine is going to feel very well balanced. >> Yes. And and and that also allows you as an operator to have good visibility to the rear. >> Yeah, the visibility I mean, just the the the attack angles you have on this, as we look, you can see it's just beautifully I don't know I don't know. I do like stuff like this. But let's see how it looks. This cab is Holy crap. All right, guys. I'm going to jump in here. Remember when I asked you to look at the edges of that blade as I sit in this machine, try to see the two edges of your blade and which one do you think has the better visibility? And as you're operating this machine and you're looking around inside of that cab, which one gives you a better sense of where everything is located? This is where you This is your office all day long, day after day, month after month, and sometimes those little things actually make a big difference. Holy crap, Carlos. This this >> You can see everything from here. >> Yeah, it doesn't I mean, it it disappears. So, you have your column here, the pre-cleaner disappears, your exhaust disappears, and the visibility in here And this is a very big cab. >> Yeah, it's a very comfortable cab. >> And it's simple, straightforward. So, you've got a touchscreen here. I'm going to guess this is a touchscreen, Carlos? >> touch screens. Uh that one in the center is is optional. That is for the Trimble system. That At this moment it's it's optional. >> Wow. I love this machine. Huh. >> And it's full hydrostatic. So, the noise is is very low inside the cab. >> Really? Everything about this machine makes me want to be a dozer operator again. >> Maybe you can. >> I ran dozer for quite a few years. I ran the Komatsu D41P's. And then uh I bought a Case 1150G. This is a nice machine. >> Yeah. >> What about The thing that would frighten me about this machine is parts availability? >> Availability parts availability? >> Parts availability. Everything Everything breaks, Carlos. I don't care who you what name you are. Everything breaks. >> So, I we have a a spare parts depot in Houston. Liebherr has the main office for North America in Houston. So, we have parts there. >> How about dealer How's your dealer network? >> We have about 35 dealers in in America. >> 35 dealers in America. >> And and growing because we still have a lot of room to to grow. >> Huh. Huh. What do you guys think of this machine? What would you change about it? The price? I I would If I was buying another dozer, I would probably be seriously looking at this. Absolutely love this freaking design. Absolutely love this design. Look at your visibility in the back. Look at Is there Carlos, is there anything else I need to know about this machine before I let you get back to whatever it is you were doing? >> Uh maybe over there in the in the front? step there and diesel. >> So, you get right there, You can obviously gain right access right to it. So, it's it's it's not required it's not technically requiring a three-point hookup. You just walk over and >> It's very easy to to uh >> air right there. >> Easy to get the access. And then we have a eight-way blade. So, we have different movements. Uh eight movements if I can say that. Up, down, left, right. >> Huh. >> Low No, low ground pressure. Tracks. >> Do you have different track configurations or is it a one and you're done? >> We have a 600 mm, which is the standard. We have LGP like this. >> This is your wide track. >> options. We also kind of have a winch instead of rear ripper. >> Okay. >> And and forestry application as well. >> You do? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Very good. Anything else, Carlos? >> Nope. >> All right, guys. You've seen both machines. Who won this dozer battle? You let me know which one of these two machines has a better design. With all things being equal, just which one has a better design? Let me know in the comments down below. And if you've got anything else you want to add to this video, whether you like the LiuGong, you hate the LiuGong, whether maybe they've got a bad reputation, maybe they've got a great reputation. Whatever information you have, remember this, you guys, a rising tide raises all ships. And when we share information like this with each other and we involve ourselves in these these conversations, we help other operators dial in that information. Back in the day when I was a young buck trying to get started up, social media didn't even exist. The only way I learned anything was by walking up to operators and talking to them. And that's a one-on-one conversation with a very limited perspective and limited information. Now we've got the whole world that we can communicate and share with each other. So, you guys that have some experience running these this equipment, please share it with whoever you will share it with in the comments down below because you don't realize how much this helps the young guys dial in their operations because as Remember when we were a young guy, the when we could get any kind of information at all, we'd have to It was like peeling it out of people. And when you got it, you were just hoping and praying that it would help you. Well, now we've got the ability to share this with a lot more people and help other people out. So, a rising tide raises all ships and I hope this video has helped you guys out as well. That's it for this one. God bless and go get them, you guys. We'll see you at another one.
