BATHTUB CLOGGED??...BEST WAY TO REMOVE CLOG FROM THE DRAIN!!
What happens here
If the drain remains clogged after using the plastic hair remover, use a drum auger, also known as a drain snake (Ridgid Power Spin). First, loosen the thumbscrew on the drum auger and pull out about 6 to 12 inches of the snake cable. Insert the end of the snake into the main drain opening (or the overflow drain opening if the main drain stopper is not easily removable). Tighten the thumbscrew to secure the cable. Begin cranking the handle on the drum auger while pushing the cable into the drain. As you feel resistance, continue to crank and push, rotating the snake to break through the clog. Once the clog is felt to be broken or cleared, retract the snake by cranking the handle in reverse while slowly pulling it out. Clean any debris from the snake as it is removed.
Goal: Clear stubborn and deep clogs from the drain using a drum auger.
