Water Resistance Demonstration

What happens here

The presenter demonstrates water resistance for both construction types. For the wood-framed 'USA' model, he pours water onto the sheathing, then shows how a water-resistant barrier (like house wrap) and siding effectively divert water away, keeping the interior wall dry. For the masonry 'EUROPE' model with brick veneer, he pours water onto the bricks. He then exposes the cavity behind the brick, showing how water infiltrates behind the bricks and is directed out through weep holes at the base of the wall, preventing it from reaching the interior structure.

Goal: Show how different construction methods manage water infiltration.
