What happens here
The excavator is used to efficiently remove the dead ash trees. The operator positions the excavator's bucket or grapple attachment to dig around the base of the tree, exposing its root system. Once the roots are sufficiently loosened, the excavator gently pushes the tree, causing it to fall in a controlled direction. The excavator then uses its grapple to lift and shake the felled tree's root ball, dislodging excess soil and debris, making the roots easier to handle and transport.
Goal: Safely fell and de-root dead ash trees.
