Apply Paint with Airless Sprayer

What happens here

Once the setup is complete, begin applying paint to the lower sections of the horizontal lap siding. Hold the spray gun with the extension wand at a consistent distance of approximately 10 to 12 inches from the surface. This distance is critical for achieving a uniform finish. Ensure the spray gun is held perpendicular to the surface at all times to avoid applying too much paint at the top or bottom of the spray pattern. Start each spray pass by triggering the gun just before the edge of the section you intend to paint, moving the sprayer in smooth, steady horizontal strokes across the siding. Each pass should overlap the previous one by about 50% to ensure thorough coverage and prevent visible streaking or missed areas. Release the trigger just after passing the opposite edge of the painted section. This 'start off, end off' technique prevents paint buildup and heavy edges at the beginning and end of each stroke. Continuously observe the paint application to check for any runs, drips, or uneven coverage, adjusting your speed or distance as needed to maintain a consistent wet edge and smooth finish. Proceed along the entire lower section of the siding, working methodically.
