What happens here

This project details the process of improving soil health and pasture quality on a farm by spreading a high-calcium lime supplement (Fast Cal) to raise the soil pH, followed by spreading clover seed. The process involves using a tractor-mounted broadcast seeder, calculating the appropriate application rates, and strategically spreading the materials across the pasture. The goal is to correct acidic soil conditions, which encourages the growth of beneficial grasses and clovers, leading to better forage for livestock and reduced need for synthetic fertilizers.
