What happens here

This video demonstrates an efficient technique for cutting multiple pieces of lumber or decorative boards to the same specified length. The method involves precisely marking and cutting the first few stacked boards, then using the freshly cut end of the top board as a reference mark for subsequent cuts, eliminating the need for repeated measuring and marking for each individual piece. This significantly speeds up the process for repetitive cuts, especially when installing cladding or similar projects where many pieces of identical length are required.

all right i got a good tip for you here we're installing these decorators boards as cladding for this wall both sides are going to trim over the seam so the cuts don't have to be exact but they have to be right around 139 and a half so i need eight of those i measured 139 and a half i made sure that that end they're all nice and straight i just cut through three of them and that gives me my mark for my fourth i can just continue get all eight of them cut in no time
