What happens here
Using a grout float, scoop a generous amount of the freshly mixed grout onto the tiled surface. Hold the float at a 45-degree angle to the tile and firmly spread the grout, pushing it diagonally across the tiles and into all the joints. Ensure every joint is completely filled. Once the joints are filled, hold the float at a steeper angle, nearly 90 degrees, and scrape off any excess grout by moving it diagonally across the tiles.
Goal: Fill all tile joints completely with grout.
