Assemble First Layer of Bed

What happens here

Once the wooden planks for the first layer are cut, arrange them on the ground to form the rectangular or square shape of your raised garden bed. Place interlocking cinder blocks at each corner, fitting the ends of the wooden planks into the grooves or recesses of the blocks. These blocks will act as corner supports and provide elevation. Lightly tap the planks into place with a hammer or rubber mallet to ensure a snug fit within the cinder blocks. Double-check that the overall frame is square and level before proceeding.
