What happens here

This project details a comprehensive performance test and evaluation of the EGO battery-powered lawnmower, focusing on its ability to handle thick, wet grass, its battery run time, and overall efficiency in various terrain conditions. The testing includes real-world scenarios like cutting alongside a roadside ditch, mowing a large sloped property, and assessing battery performance under heavy load using thermal imaging.

okay that's crazy I flip around and let's hit the even tougher stop Tom nothing it's not missing a beat is it [Music] [Applause] music got the best in me ever since I was a child [Music] he's running so it's actually making this video along the roadside so this is the longest grass I could find and my neighbor was driving by and wanted to find out what was going on this is the first time he's ever seen this motor he's never used it so let's see how this goes well it's got multiple speeds right here here's your throttle I'm conning my neighbor up at the cabin into helping me right in the middle of it right in the heart right in the heart of it yep heaviest stuff just nice and slow will CA to fill do it so he's using self-propelled he's not pushing okay that's crazy I flip around and let's hit the even tougher stop Tom [Music] nothing it's not missing a beat is it [Music] yeah yeah it's nice it actually is the nicest battery-powered more but I've actually personally seen that's kind of impressive right oh yeah there's no steel on it there's no metal on it I thought I was trying to find metal and the only thing I could find is that screws right there yep yep oh it try lift it try it adjust in the height once ah now let's see what you think of it I know I know isn't that crazy they got it just tuned in yep that's where you'd adjust it up and down for your height so there you go and so you just yeah and then you can tell how much battery got left green orange and red okay there's three three indicators on it Lucy are you getting bit up a little bit alright thanks Tom that made my job a lot easier hey ego how much you gonna pay him to help so the next test that we're gonna perform is the total run time test under semi normal conditions and I'm gonna explain to you a minute with semi normal means but I happened to run into Frankie let's see how this goes I guess that was the point so I'm gonna see how far this ego will go that's that's what I'm worried about well cuz then I'm gonna end up push mowing my entire property that's a big property tons of hills yeah and so are you guys here's the plan we're gonna be doing a runtime test and we're gonna be using the self-propelled option on this mower we're gonna go down the hill turn around come back up the hill so we're only using what came with the mower and what came with the mower is these 56 volt batteries so we're gonna see just how well this mower does and how long it lasts but we're not gonna guess we're gonna set the timer we're gonna know exactly how long she goes Savage so let's get this party started [Music] so this stretch of the yard has a number of different conditions on it at the very bottom of this hill is really wet and the grass is thick I wanted to make this more work harder by pulling itself all the way up this hill just to try to tax those batteries a little bit more I wanted to try to duplicate some of the things that you guys maybe are encountering on different sites and different yards in your neck of the woods [Music] this is what we got done from there to there up hill powering up and up now we're going this way [Music] and the mower kept going and going and going are you guys it just seems to keep going for an hour and 10 minutes in right now we'll stop it here and we'll see where our battery is at and then we can always start the clock back up when we start the mower back up Green is full charged yellow is half charged and red is dead we have a battery indicator back here as well and that says we're green to full power so hour and ten minutes in when we still got full juice let's see if the mo mower is heating up we've got our Fleur thermal imager here let's see how hot she's running it was 97 degrees that day and of course that's the day I choose to test push this more I was hoping it would die let's see how those batteries are how hot those batteries are pull one out there it is so they're actually cool to the touch now let's see how hot I am all right you guys I'm gonna guess that this grass is gonna probably be a lot longer than what you would typically get into so this should be a pretty good test not just for run time but how does it handle some extreme conditions yeah it's a bit all right let's get the party restarted right now so we had an hour and 10 minutes of runtime already on these batteries and I didn't swap them out because I wanted to see just how long we could go before we completely exhaust them and I wanted to up the ante and start cutting some stuff that's a little help okay so what I'm finding out is this super tall really wet grass behind it is starting to really tax the unit and it's having some difficulties with it and I'm getting some warning signs on it watch this so that my red light is coming on and it's draining my battery well now it's green so I think what we're gonna do is we're gonna skip just this little tiny area because we want to see how much ground we can cover and so we're gonna go from we're gonna skip just that we're gonna mow all of this other stuff so we can keep going [Music] alright guys that's it we killed it in the heavy wet grass at an hour and 24 minutes let's go so I want to show you what's going on with this and also show you what we were actually cutting with this more toward the very end so and this is it was on mulching the entire time and you could see how wet that is so I didn't have it discharging so I was making it work extra hard and I made it self propel the entire way and let's take a look at what's happening right now so we hit the big green goal button pull back and we'll get we got the flashing red there and then the batteries also so she's done I think we nailed it our in 24 minutes so you guys tell me what you think of this video I've tried to do the absolute best I could to test this thing putting it through the what I would consider to be similar paces that maybe you guys may experience out in the field going up hills in a variety of different grass applications also trying to cut wet grass both up on the other site and at this site if there's things I could do to improve please tell me because I watch what you guys say and that's how I make these videos and I appreciate your input god bless you guys go get them and do me a favor check out this video here in that video right there
