Clean your washing machine to remove 'scud' (detergent residue, fabric softener, body oils, and minerals) buildup that can cause odors and affect laundry cleanliness. The video shows disassembling a front-loading washing machine to reveal significant scud buildup on the internal parts, emphasizing how hidden this issue can be. To clean it, use a washing machine cleaner like Tide Washing Machine Cleaner. Simply place one pouch of the cleaner directly into the washer drum (without clothes), close the door, and run a cleaning cycle according to the product instructions. This should be done monthly. Ensure to clean the gasket around the door as well.
