What happens here
The 'Push Pilot' arbor is designed to seamlessly integrate with any standard hole saw. First, thread the 'Push Pilot' onto your chosen hole saw. Then, attach the assembled unit to a cordless drill. When drilling into wood, the 'Push Pilot' will penetrate approximately 3/8 of an inch. After this initial penetration, the pressure generated from continued drilling will cause a spring-loaded plunger within the 'Push Pilot' to collapse into its chamber. Upon completion of the drilling process, the device automatically ejects the cut wood plug from the hole saw. This mechanism eliminates the need for manual removal, such as prying with a screwdriver or physically touching a hot saw.
Goal: Effortlessly remove plugs from hole saws
