With both adhesive strips removed and the tread positioned, use your hands to firmly press down across the entire surface of the carpet stair tread. Apply consistent pressure to ensure that the entire adhesive backing makes strong contact with the wooden stair surface. This will securely fasten the tread in place, preventing shifting and providing a non-slip surface.
