Carefully peel off the protective backing from the adhesive side of the first stair tread. Align the tread precisely with the marks or template created in the previous step. Once aligned, firmly press the tread onto the stair surface, starting from one edge and working your way across, to ensure the adhesive makes full contact and eliminate any air bubbles.
