After applying the dye, allow the carpet to dry completely. This process can take anywhere from 12 to 24 hours, or even longer, depending on the amount of dye applied, carpet thickness, room temperature, and humidity. Maximize airflow by opening windows, using fans, and running a dehumidifier if available. Avoid walking on the carpet during this drying period to prevent disturbing the dye and causing uneven results or footprints. Once the carpet is dry to the touch, carefully remove all painter's tape. Finally, vacuum the newly dyed carpet to fluff up the fibers and remove any dry residue, revealing the uniform and refreshed color.
