Position and Secure Tread — Peel the Protective Liner
Part of project
Stair Covers · Step 1 of 2
In this video
Align the stair tread carefully on the wooden stair, making sure it is centered and straight relative to the edge of the step. Once you are satisfied with the positioning, press down firmly on the area where the first adhesive strip was exposed to secure that edge of the tread. Then, reach under the tread, if possible, or gently lift the unadhered portion, and peel off the second protective paper strip from the remaining adhesive backing.
